Subject: Crime. The crime in action. The planning, the aftermath, or the witness. The victim. The cheap detective. Past, present or future. Dames, if they fit your story and have great gams. Parody or straight stories, stylistic homages, or blank verse mysteries. It's up to you how you pull off your literary heist. Or murder.

Word Limit: Two thousand and five hundred.

Deadline: ~~January 25~~ Update [2008-1-22 18:31:3 by ana]: Monday January 28, whenever I remember to ask 256 to shut off uploading (if he hosts again), and he gets around to it.

This deadline (if something this poorly defined can be called a deadline ... it's not even an illnessline, maybe a discomfortline) is extended until at least the voting period for the current WFC is over.
